Dyersburg Police Investigating Sunday Morning Shooting at Club That Left Five People Shot

The Dyersburg Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that left five people shot inside a club early Sunday morning, according to a news release posted on Facebook by the department.

Duersburg Police responded to the American Legion, 1305 Grant Street, in reference to a shooting inside the club around 2:17 a.m. June 7, 2020, the release said. Officers arrived to discover multiple people fleeing the club reporting that several had been shot.

The release said the officers located three males, and two females suffering from gunshot wounds. Some of the victims had been shot multiple times. Officers administered aid to the victims until EMS and the Dyersburg Fire Department arrived.

All five victims were flown to hospitals including Nashville, and Memphis due to their injuries, the release said. All of the victims are in their 20’s and 30’s, and are from Dyersburg, Union City, Tiptonville, and Ridgely.

The release said witnesses on the scene were uncooperative, and no motive has been established at this time.

Dyersburg Police is urging anyone who has information, or was inside the club at the time of the shooting to call 285-1212, or Crime Stoppers at 285-8477.
