HEALTH DEPARTMENT CONFIRMS 176 CASES OF COVID-19 IN MADISON COUNTY

The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department received positive test results for three more confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to a Tuesday morning news release from the health department. Madison County now has 176 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.

The most recent cases include:

  • a 13-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a13-year-old male (not hospitalized)
  • a 21-year-old male (not hospitalized)

The release said the department’s epidemiology staff are reaching out to people who had close contact with these individuals.

Two Madison County residents are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, with one of those patients on a ventilator.

The release said 160 Madison County residents have recovered from COVID-19 and six people say they are feeling better.
